Picking up the pieces after typhoon Ondoy, which happened last September 26, 2009. It was the worst flood in recorded Philippine history.
Amidst all the chaos, we still have hope. We have hope in the Filipino people. These are their stories.

Caught on TV- Man rescued in a rubberboat asked, “28 na ba ngayon?” Cameraman: “Opo, 28.” Man somberly replied, “Birthday ko na pala.” Rescuers who were paddling hard turned to him in surprise before slowly singing, “Happy birthday to you…” Even in the midst of devastation the Filipino spirit never ceases to acknowledge and celebrate the gift of life.
